Introuction

Hello everyone!

My name is Chia Jung Yeh (Ruby). I am from Taiwan and this is my first time to use the blog for my LS 5603 literature and young adult course. I am in my second year at TWU. My major is Child development, not library study. As you can guess, English is not my first language, so I am a little worry whether I could do well in the course. If you find any mistake in my English usage, please feel free to tell me and give me some suggestions about it as well about my book reviews.

I taught kindergarten in Taiwan before coming here to pursue my further study. I am interested in second language learning and literature for young children. I believe picture books, just like other appropriately designed literatures, could help young children better acquire their second language.

I am very excited about this course and believe I could learn a lot from children literature books while advancing my English by immersing myself in them.
